Event program:

On The Same Page, a project of SAJES, is putting on an amazing series of events exploring the topic of forgiveness, inspired by Simon Wiesenthal's book, The Sunflower. Dr. Fred Luskin, co-chair of the Garden of Forgiveness organization, spoke at the kick-off event on October 22, 2006, at Temple Beth Torah, Melville.

The On The Same Page closing event, "A Community Explores Forgiveness: An Interfaith Discussion" will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2006, from 11:00 AM-1:30 PM at the Mid-Island Y JCC, Plainview. This program begins with a dedication of the Mid-Island Y JCC's new "Holocaust Memorial and Forgiveness Garden", developed and created by American and Israeli teens who participated in this year's Crossing Borders project. Area clergy will help participants explore the role that community plays in responding to the personal and communal issues that result from acts of violence and intolerance. Rev. Lyndon Harris, director and co-chair of the Garden of Forgiveness organization, will be a part of this special discussion and garden dedication.

There is no fee for this event. For more information for On The Same Page forgiveness events, please visit: http://www.otsp.org and
