Professor Piet Meiring, theology professor at the University of Pretoria, served on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in South Africa and published a compelling account of the inner workings of the Commission, entitled A Chronicle of the Truth Commission (Carpe Diem Books, Vanderbijl Park, South Africa, 1999).
